Plan for your busiest normal day
Napkins and cloths run out on the nights you are fullest, so the calculator starts from your busiest normal day rather than the average. Napkins per cover matters more than most people expect: fine dining rooms that replace napkins when a guest steps away often use two per cover; casual places nearer one.
How stock is worked out
Daily use is covers times napkins per cover, and tables with cloths times turns. Stock covers that use for every day linen is away, plus the day in use, plus your buffer for spills, stains and late returns. Change the days away to see how a more frequent collection would cut the linen you need to own.
About the weekly cost
The weekly estimate uses our napkin price and our small and large tablecloth prices, excluding VAT, and assumes an average day is about two thirds of your busiest. Kitchen linen such as aprons, chef whites and side towels is not included; add them with the laundry cost calculator.
